Das Endspiel ist meist unentschieden, wenn die Bauernpartei einen a-, c-, f oder h-Bauern hat. Wegen drohenden Patts kann der König nicht näher an den Bauern herankommen.

Das Endspiel ist meist für die Damenpartei gewonnen, wenn die Bauernpartei einen b-, d-, e- oder g- Bauern hat.

Hat die Bauernpartei mehrere Bauern, so muß sie versuchen, einen a-, c-, f oder h-Bauern zu halten, um das Remis zu halten.

Endgame queen against pawn(s) in the second last row

The endgame is mostly a draw, if the pawn is positioned in the second last row of the ranks a-, c-, f or h. The opposing king cannot near the pawn due to the threatening stalemates.

The endgame is mostly won for the queen party, if the opposing pawn is positionend in the second last row of the ranks b-, d-, e- or g.

If the pawn side has more than one pawn, then a pawn of the ranks a-, c-, f or h in the second last row must be maintained to hold a draw.
